  1. I know what you were saying. But wouldn’t you agree that when bringing players in, any successful strategy should marry up the players being bought in with the style of play and tactics of the head coach. Instead we got 3 points from a possible 33 and Röhl has had to come in and work miracles with the group of players he inherited. Don’t try to kid yourself and others however that our transfer dealings in the summer were part of some “master plan” by Chansiri, they weren’t.
  2. Only slightly and still no good. Fail to win today and we have to win 4 of our last 7 games to hit 50 points with a tough trip to Boro next. This could leave us needing to win 4 of our last 6 games after the Easter weekend and that’s before you take into account our abysmal goal difference. A draw today will be a very bad result.
  3. We have to win today, it really is that simple. Sat in the bottom 3 and with games running out fast, draws at home to Swansea are no good to us at all.
  4. Yes I remember the back of the programme saying Kenny Dalgleish and several other world class players were playing only to be told over the tanoy that the side would be different. Still John Barnes, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright all played. Also have to agree with you on Ian Wright, he was brilliant that day.
  5. Done. Apologies I sent 2. The first time round I didn’t read the rules properly and didn’t realise it was a “Pointless” style quiz so sent some amended answers.
  6. Last one I went to was David Hirst’s, that must be over 20 years ago now.
  7. His last strategy was s**t or bust and we are still paying for it now. His current strategy currently has us on the brink of a return to the third division.
  8. He’s never going to recoup what he’s put into the club as he doesn’t have the know how to get us into the Premier League. So every year his losses are going to grow and grow and his asking price will grow with it meaning if he doesn’t eventually lower the asking price, he is committed to losing millions more pounds every year on a failed project where the majority of his customers want rid of him. There may come a time when his family decide it’s time to stop throwing good money after bad.
  9. Give it 2, perhaps 3 years tops and they’ll have flown past us. While we are stuck with Chumpsiri and his resident boot lickers telling us to be careful what we wish for.
  10. I’d be gutted to see him go after looking like we were down with just 3 points from a possible 33, for him to take over and get us back in the fight is remarkable. As I say, I’d hate for us to lose him but for him to achieve his potential he probably needs to move to a club where the chairman isn’t making it near impossible for him to be the manager he can be and sadly that’s exactly what he’s got here.
  11. On the app just type in ‘England Jersey’ pal.
