  1. Apparently the yellow in the regular game doesn't carry forward into the shootout. Who knew? The commentator didn't for one (and I didn't for two!).
  2. Martinez lucky not to be sent off after 2 kicks after inciting the crowd twice
  3. Villa going to penalties. Then I'm going to watch the West Ham game, can't face the Liverpool love-in.
  4. Christ it's going to happen. I'm still watching the Villa game in extra time but the Sky app just said "Penalty" in the Liverpool game but not who to! Should've known really.
  5. Got a nasty feeling that Liverpool could pull off another of those comebacks that we'll never hear the last of. Strong lineup and on their day they're easily capable of knocking in 4 or 5 away from home even against a decent team. WAAAW
  6. Oh good, table I looked at must've been from before the midweek games, didn't know that Stockport had already clinched the title. Somehow I'm sure I'd have known about it had it been Wrexham...
  7. That is often annoyingly the case - but not this time, both the central blocks went on sale online yesterday. P32 was the first on sale and was sold out not long after 9:30am, then they opened P28 and then P34. When you know it's not on the verge of selling out it can be worth waiting for better seats/blocks to become available.
  8. I think what I and seemingly most people reading this thread are "struggling with" is your insistence that being 4-5 points away from safety with just 2 games left would be OK because all we'd have to do is win our last 2 and pray that other results go for us as well. There's a difference between mathematics and realism.
  9. Whilst largely agreeing with this post, I'd just point out that Cardiff only had 1 point from their opening 3 games before playing us (after finishing 4th bottom last season), hardly flying.
  10. So now you're saying "let's be realistic" after starting a thread claiming that if we're 4-5 points behind safety after Saturday's games our game on Sunday wouldn't be a must-win
  11. Not all train companies offer reservations - in fact I don't think I've ever had a reservation on a Manchester-Sheffield train. One time I did resulted in a horrific journey coming back from Preston a few years ago on a hot August day, had seats reserved from Manchester back to Sheffield but the carriage that they were on didn't even exist! Hate that journey, always rammed, and will be especially bad on Sunday as they never seem to take big events into account - which is why I'm driving on Sunday.
  12. Stockport just need to win at home to 18th placed Accrington this weekend to clinch the title (or have Wrexham fail to win away at Crewe who will clinch their play off place with a result) so hopefully it's all wrapped up before the final day. Hope so, fed up of reading about the Wrexham fairytale every week. But they're going to score an injury time goal on the last day to win the title aren't they...
  13. The points deduction relegated us, yes. Yet at the same time we'd still have stayed up anyway had we won a single game on the final day, against a team that had just lost 6 games in a row. But we failed to do do.
  14. Pie and a pint for £15? Not really a bargain is it? Wasn't it a fiver at Hillsborough last week for pie, pint and pringles?
