  1. On a cold winters day at Hillsborough, I once saw a chap buy 6 meat pies. It was so strange, I remember seeing him wearing what looked liked a belt around his waist filled with these 6 meat pies. Keeping himself warm and well fed at the same time. I couldn't work out if it was genius or insane.
  2. Unsure if he lives near me but I saw Chris O'Grady in Wickes today, round corner from Brinsworth
  3. All in hindsight, travelling fans had no idea of the lineup before making the trip. I looked at that lineup today and thought "not a chance". That's all I needed. It was a rock and roll line up, that failed to rock and just rolled over. The combative element wasn't there. Seems as tho, Palmer, Valentin, Famewo and using Johnson further forward adds to the combativeness of the team. Gassama, Poveda, Musaba, should never start as a trio. Experiment failed.
  4. He's got alot more conviction than Ashley Fletcher. From what we've seen of Fletcher, it's quite unbelievable he's made a living out of football.
  5. Need to be tight and combative first and foremost. Starting Smith and Ugbo meant gaps in the engine room. Bannan needs more than 1 combative player alongside him. We're a 4-5-1 team with Bannan. It's not a bad thing, just has to be understood and respected. Its probably Röhl showing naivety, inexperience or just wishful thinking
  6. Problem is everyone, We'll sell Cadamartri for 3m and secure the services of Lee Gregory and Barry Bannan for 1 more season. That's the Wednesday way. Players give their better years elsewhere, that's down to chairman and the culture change we need.
  7. Fully agree, this is called asset protection. Instead of bottoming out, buying 30 plus year olds for a quick fix.
  8. I would guess decrease. Due to the cost of living mainly. Last couple of years, I've probably been once or twice to Hillsborough. That bit of carefree money we have, has to go on you and yours. Eating well, Sauna, Massages, Holidays. An entry ticket to a sporting event says to me, here's my money, you go and take care of yourself. Always remember, you're number 1.
  9. Hopefully a lesson learnt. You can't invest game time in youngsters, unless their invested in the club Sign the contract, get the opportunity and game time. Then we reap the benefit, not someone else. If they're not playing or not good enough just yet, they go out on loan, then we still reap the benefit of them having 40 games in their legs.
  10. He's actually needed, I haven't seen us much this season but looking at results. When we're on back foot, having that speed outlet down the middle is needed
  11. Don't think it matters who we hire, I see years of transition needed within our squad. Gassama and Musaba will be brilliant players in years to come, if we invest game time into their legs. Knowing how we operate, we put faith in tried and trusted players who know their level and still fail.
  12. Xisco is right in respect to it taking longer for a transition to take place. A younger SWFC team we can all be proud of, doesn't happen with an old guard in place, protective over their positions.
  13. I've fell out of love with it all to be honest. I can imagine Chansiri's stressed and feels the same. It's time for a new direction, a new owner, a new manager. Fresh investment and ideas. Something a pay on the gate fan can believe in, in order to purchase a ticket.
  14. Definitely money that could be saved or spent elsewhere...but also suppose there has to be some sacrifice when we're a club in transition
  15. Smiles of relief at full time, when we avoid a defeat
