The Owls are delighted to announce that our Capital One Cup quarter final tie at Stoke on Tuesday 1 December (7.45pm) will be beamed back live to Hillsborough.

Our full allocation of 4,646 tickets for the match at the Britannia Stadium sold out within just three days of priority sale, enabling the club to request a beam back event with the agreement of Stoke, the local authorities and the Football League.

The match will be shown live on the giant screen at Hillsborough with multi-camera coverage and live commentary provided by our screen partners ADI.

All supporters are in the North Stand for this event, providing the best view of the screen, with tickets priced £10 for adults and £5 for all juniors under 17.

All concourse kiosks will be opened on the night to provide a full range of matchday refreshments, and supporters can consume alcoholic drinks throughout the event whilst in their seats.

The Owls will also offer an upgraded ‘hospitality’ option in the 1867 Lounge. Hospitality guests can enjoy homemade meat and potato pie, thick cut chips, peas and gravy before the game and hot sausage sandwiches at half time.

In addition, there will be a fully stocked cash bar facility available in the 1867 Lounge through the evening, including a guest real ale. Hospitality guests will be provided with a reserved car parking space in the SouthStand (one space per two tickets).

Hospitality tickets are available for £25 adults and £20 for juniors under 17.

Ticket sale dates

Tuesday 24 November: Season Ticket holders

Wednesday 25 November: Members and Owls Foundation Members

Thursday 26 November: General Sale

Tickets can be purchased at the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop, in person at the Owls Megastore or by telephone on 0871 900 1867.

Turnstiles will open at 18.30pm on the night, while supporters enjoying the hospitality package can gain access to the 1867 Lounge from 18.00pm.

The Owls Megastore will also be open until the match kicks off.

Please note that this event is for Sheffield Wednesday supporters only.

I haven't made any comments regarding ticket prices this season, but I think £10 is a bit OTT to sit in the cold on the north to watch TV. I'd have paid that, or perhaps £15 at a push, for one of the indoor lounge beambacks, but most likely not to watch from the stands.

Fair play to them if the numbers turn up at that price though I guess.

Edit: Then again, I might not be taking this game as seriously as others are. My interest in it is comparatively way lower than the likes of when we've had the two Sheffield Derby beambacks which were fantastic events.

Is it just me or will watching the screen in the corner from the North Stand be a bit of a squint job? The "giant" screen still doesn't seem all that big to me (may be my old eyes).

Fortunately I'll be at Stoke anyway, but if I couldn't go then I'd think twice about going to this beamback. I went to the one against the pigs when we won 2-1 and had the screen on the pitch in front of the South Stand and that wasn't too bad, but the existing screen seems a bit far away to be watching comfortably for 90 minutes.

I take it that you refer to the text that is displayed on the screen, which is just visible for me from the Kop, however, if you are talking about anything and everything that is displayed on the big screen then I am sorry to tell you that you have a problem pal.

Can't believe people are moaning.

You don't have to go and £10 is fine...considering they're opening the concourse too so will have to pay staff there, as well as stewards. You're not going to be able to watch the match, legally, anywhere else.

I'd be going to this if I didn't get tickets for the game itself. Next best thing.

Use your heads those complaining, the club has staff costs to cover as well as a certain amount which will go to stoke for the rights to stream the game, its not all Wednesday trying to make money!

if you don't wan to pay the price then do not go and sit at home like you first intended to!
