Guest Deleted member
Really looking forward to seeing the film about Cloughie and Forests 5 year climb from where we are currently, to 2 successive European Cup wins... Got me thinking, if you could pick a 5 year spell from your Wednesday lifetime, what would make the most pitchable story to broadcast?

Guest mkowl
I suppose there are 3 candidates The mid 70's era, the whole sorry mess of the years pre MM and admin threat, I suppose the more general interest would be to take the 5 years from the Cup semi in 88 at Hillsborough to that Arsenal goal in the 119th minute
torryowl
wilko´s 1st 3 years were brilliant but if the criteria is 5 years then it would be 62-67 for me 3 top 6 finishes 2 european campaigns and a cup final .
Sonny
You need a bit of heartbreak and adversity somewhere on the middle so probably make it 3 parts and start with 89 and the glory years before a depressing and gritty second part ending when Straff takes to the pitch and the boy Jeffers knocks one in... that would be real Roy of the Rovers/Jimmy Grimble stuff... then the third part will have an unexpectedly sad start with relegation and insolvency before the true hope begins. Kivo to direct all three. Edited October 6, 2015 by Sonny
Sonny
The Shreeves and Yorath years won't feature any actual football footage or dialogue. Just a Polanski-esque shot of DunsbyOwl clinging to the South Stand finial as the seasons pass... Summer, autumn, winter, winter, winter.
Kalamunda
Jimmy Seed joining Wednesday in the mid 20s and leading us to the greatest season ever by any club in English football history, would work for me.

roaminowl
I'd choose 1979 to 1984. 3rd Division 5 games against Arsenal Boxing Day Massacre Promotion to 2nd Division A few decent attempts, but not quite good enough for promotion to Division 1 under Big Jack. FA Cup Semi-Final against Brighton Promotion to 1st Division under Wilkinson Back where we belong after the wilderness years Finally playing, and beating, teams like Forest, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U (ok Man U game was Jan 1st 1985 but I'm counting it) Edited October 6, 2015 by roaminowl
