Southie_Owl
Dom reading owlstalk tonight.. Dom Howson â€@domhowson Sounds like #SWFC committee member Glenn Roeder has watched #MUFC v Everton tonight. Might have been checking out James Wilson. Dom Howson â€@domhowson Wilson netted in United's 3-1 win over Everton. The striker has previously been linked with #SWFC. Will find out more tomorrow. #starlive
0114
Great young player. But what's the point? We will never ever get him permanently. He does well and goes back in January and Man U will just send him to a premier club on loan. Would much rather bide our time and sign a Graham, Hooper, Ulloa. Don't agree, James Wilson has that little bit extra, he can make things happen. OK, he's unlikely to ever be ours, but what's the point on spending millions on someone like Graham or Hooper, who aren't really good enough to take us much further
barmyowl1212
Lads at work are Man ure fans and been banging on about him been given a chance to prove his worth then they bought Martial or what ever his is called so said he has no chance now. Southie_Owl
Also if Wilson goes on loan to a championship club, is getting games and goals then in Jan Utd would probably let him stay at that club till the end of this season rather than want him to sit on a bench in the PL. He has played 14 proffessional games the majority of which have been from the bench. I'm not saying he's a bad player or he won't be something special but you simply can't expect a 19 year old kid no matter who he plays for to be the full article. Guest wilyfox
Undoubted talent, but my two concerns would be a swift recall plus the chance he'd get beaten up in the championship.
Beatpusher
He's unbelievably quick, and can finish. Would be very happy...
Bigger Guns
Haven't seen much of james Wilson (neither has anyone else he's only played 14 games), so why do people think he's something so so special? Is it because he plays for Man U? A bit like macheda who burst on the scene and everyone was raving about. Where's he now? I'm not in any way saying Wilson is as bad as macheda or indeed any better just wanting to know what people base their opinions on.
Captain Sl-OWL-ly
Simplze ! Let's have both... Make it so no.1....
i used to be sc_owl
Could be a great player, but we simply don't know. I would rather see a striker come in with experience of playing, and scoring, in this division. Graham isn't a bad player from what I can recall, but I haven't seen him much of late. Captain Sl-OWL-ly
By Jove, the young lad really is Spiffing, jolly good show by him, Pip pip If Snooty see's this he'll be after you for takin' the Pi$$ out of him... Bluesteel
Good player but not a central striker? Assuming we plan to continue with a similar style of partnership He'd be taking the role of support striker which we don't need unless FF is injured? Sultan_Pepper
He played a couple of games last season or end of the season before and he looked like a world beater. Similar sort of level to what Barkley was before he came to us. Whether that was a good loan for us I'll let you lot decide.
gurujuan
Would say he's similar to Bamford before he went to Derby, and that one worked out alright

bigash_swfc
Our former Man Utd coach, committee member Jonathan Hill will have got some contacts with the club. Be over the moon if this happens.
WalthamOwl
Would choose Wilson over Graham every time.
Guest wilyfox
Would choose Wilson over Graham every time. Even if you may only get Wilson for a month, but Graham for 3?
