BarmyArmy1867
The only feasible formation for us with so many players and to fit in the better players in my opinion would be Westwood Lees Turner Sasso Hunt/Wallace. Pudil Mcgugan Lopez Bannan Foresteiri Nuhui/ Joao How else do we fit in so many players?
BarmyArmy1867
We have to try and fit LM and FF in the same team while keeping it solid in the middle and playing wing back and 3 in the middle of midfield is the only way I see
BarmyArmy1867
Nope I've not seen him chase back at all this year and is one of the reasons we have been exploited down our left side so much, and apart from his worldie against Leeds hasn't really done much
Simaniac Owl
Simple. Play 5-5-5 and hope the ref and opposites don't notice

Matias has scored 2 in league games and hit the woodwork 2 or 3 times as well. You don't leave a goalscorer out cos he can't defend. Matias has to play. McRightSide
I'd love to see Forestieri and Matias playing in and around Nuhiu Yes, yes I know he's no world beater, but you can't deny the space he creates for others.
owlandished
The squad is the team from which best players available are selected to play against specific opponents It's highly unlikely we will play the same 11 players for every match and not use any subs, so the premise of trying to fit best players into a starting line up, regardless of opponent, is flawed

Unfortuntley he's not going to get you the goals we need and fitting in mcgugan and forestieri who will both score more and create more than Matias has to be the way forward. McRightSide
No chance CC will choose a formation purely to fit Matias in the side Especially not when he has Matias, McGugan, Lee, Bannan, Wallace, Forestieri, Joao and Nuhiu as other realistic and reliable options for him Matias has played in a league equivalent to League 1 baring the top 2 Says who? McRightSide
The Portuguese league baring Lisbon, Porto and benfica is extremely poor and most teams in the championship would beat them Oh right yeah - good teams don't count Alongside penalties, tap-ins and deflections. Forgot about that. Sorry
McRightSide
Doesn't necessarily correlate to the quality of the league Can be heavily affect by style of play, quality of defenders etc Given the fact he has 2 in 5 and could easily have had 2 or 3 more suggests he has the necessary ability to succeed
F. Spiksley
No chance CC will choose a formation purely to fit Matias in the side You'd have to agree. I'd hope that we play a team rather than base around any one individual. That said we need a style and system to suit. They'll always be stronger players though so that's the art of managing I suppose?
F. Spiksley
I have to agree Portuguese football is very poor bar the top two I think Porto and Benfica let about 15 goals in each all season On their day though they are top sides.

He should have which shows he's not going to score goals was very poor on Saturday when the going got tough and we didn't see the ball, good first touch for the 'own goal' but has to show more and get involved if he's going do anything.
