Predict the full Championship 2015/16

Recommended Posts

With 6 days to go until the new campaign this should be a reasonable time to do this.

I know there are always a lot of prediction threads but I thought that this could be a more official version. If everyone just posts how they think the full league will pan out and we can pull this back up at various points throughout the season to laugh at ourselves in glorious hindsight.

Here we go....

1. Middlesbrough

2. QPR

---------------------------

3. Derby County

4. Wolves

5. Fulham

6. Sheffield Wednesday

--------------------------

7. Brentford

8. Hull City

9. Ipswich Town

10. Burnley

11. Leeds United

12. Bristol City

---------------------------

13. Charlton Athletic

14. Reading

15. Brighton HA

16. Nottingham Forest

17. Blackburn Rovers

18. Cardiff City

19. Huddersfield Town

20. Preston North End

21. Birmingham City

--------------------------

22. MK Dons

23. Bolton Wanderers

24. Rotherham United

Hard to call. Fancy Derby, Boro and Fulham to be very strong. Charlton are my surprise package tip. Still reckon we're in the 7th-12th section.

Hull should be strong contenders too. Not sure about QPR yet. They stand to lose the likes of Austin and Fer. They've taken a punt on several too like Jet, Luongo and Gladwin. Be interesting to see how they fare.

Derby to win.

Middlesbrough or wolves for auto.

Us, Leeds, qpr, Ipswich, Hull, Fulham potentially for play offs.

Charlton, Blackburn, Bolton, Brentford, brum and Huddersfield in the relegation zone battle.

Think Rovrum might avoid the scrap this year.

At this point it's not surprising that most will have Derby and Middlesbrough as top 2. I'm no different but it rearely ends up being the two favourite teams. It's just that at this point who else do you pick? In reality it'll probably be Reading and MK Dons or something crazy.

I'm interested to see if people are now placing us higher after the St Mirren win than after the Scunthorpe loss. lol

Think QPR will do OK only, not great.

Expect to see Blackburn struggling this season along with Bolton.

Expect Rovrum to survive...again...just.

You could be right about Charlton and perhaps I've marked them harshly.

Maybe a surprise choice for Blackburn to go down, but I think Rhodes is on his way, and Gestede leaving they seem like a club which is heading for a spell in League 1 like us, Forest and Leeds did.

No-one has Blackburn for the drop yet?

Considering the gutting their squad is taking, and those top players still couldn't prevent an average season... I'd have them finishing in the final relegation spot personally.

You could well be correct. As I said above, I am expecting a tough season for them and for Bolton. Would not like to be following either club right about now.

Not at all. I think you could both be correct. The club sounds like it's in a mess (from outside looking in).
