daleblue
Looked a bit underwhelmed after scoring his first goal at Hillsborough, after scoring a bullet like that you would have thought that he would be bouncing, maybe because we were 4 up, but he did'nt seem all that impressed. OK he might just be a cooool type of fella.
pickledegghiderman
Or might realise he isn't gunna get much game time, although if he can play left back I'd probably start him over helan
Lincs Owl
At 5-0 in front of an empty kop against possibly the poorest side I've ever seen at Hillsboro, I didn't expect cartwheels. Was a very good goal though.
fatzooma
Or having come through the ranks at Man Utd, he realises that a pre season game against St Mirren isn't really worth getting too exited about? Maybe?
joelswfc
If we don't sign another LB, I really would consider playing him over Helan.
Guest tha_knows
Was pleased for the lad to be honest, think he's took bit of unfair critism since arriving. Will be tough for him to gain a regular starting spot though, particularly RB, thought Hunt was excellent really linked up well with Wallace. BenitoCarbone
My guess is he's been told he is way down in the pecking order. This could change though, of course. Maybe this is our secret LB that will pish the League?
eckington owl
Wasn't there talk of him going to Preston? Took his goal very well yesterday.
fatzooma
Hey Marnick, go out and play like it's your last game because to be frank son....and I can't put it any other way, 'You are way down the pecking order'. Yep, I'm sure that's how the pre match speech went.
james o connor
Strange how we are blessed with a stack of right backs and don't have a left back capable to play In the championship
Guest wilyfox
Great strike from Vermijl. Nice to see two defenders on the scoresheet. Haven't seen that for a while.
FlyingOwl
Great strike, as for his lack of celebration.....don't think anyone goes mental when scoring in a friendly. This was the 5th goal in a meaningless friendly in front of 9k. His celebration was as I would expect.
Lord Snooty
Fifth goal in a game that is little more than a training excercise in team shape and structure, I'd hardly expect him to go off screaming like Tardelli in '82. In this sort of game I'd expect nothing more than a sly little glance at the bench. 'that's what I can do'
Bluesteel
He's always looked decent going forward but defensively I think he has a bit of toughening up to do
Blue n White Rampage
he didn't look too pleased cos it was too easy, he was looking for a pass but st mirren backed off and left a gaping hole for him to blast in. it wasn't a competitive game and it's about preparing for the coming season against better opposition so playing a nice pass would have been better regards team building and it's also embarassing to celebrate too much against worse opposition. Dick_Turpin
He's always looked decent going forward but defensively I think he has a bit of toughening up to do Neshes out too often. Not sure you can change that as it's instinctive.

I suppose if you're told do it, or you're never going to play will force you to get stuck in. Once he realises he can do it he should be ok?
