little_orme
Comparing those we've released against those we have signed, we really have done some good business this summer! Obviously still a few more to come in too! Couple all of this with all the vast stadium improvements, you have to say Chansiri means business! Chris Kirkland - Lewis Price Lewis Buxton - Jack Hunt Kamil Zayatte - Darryl Lachman Dejan Kelhar - Vincent Sasso Joe Mattock - Rafa Floro - Giles Coke - Rhys McCabe - Lewis McGugan Paul Corry - Alex Lopez Jacques Maghoma - Marco Matias Gary Madine - Lucas Joao Chris Maguire - Ross Wallace
BIG D
Laurie Madden will be along any minute to say they haven't proved themselves in The Championship unlike Corry, Madine, McCabe, Floro, Coke & Kelhar
Tea Baggins
Looks good, just a solid LB and we're ready.
POWP
It's a massive improvement and I'm sure we'll continue in this direction (including a couple moving on). Gonna take time to bed all of these players in tho, especially with the language barriers etc. Time to stay patient. We've waited years to push on so lets not panic if it doesn't click straight away
Tommo_
Floro was a development squad signing
royalowlisback
Time will tell. Of the new signings only McGugan and Wallace are proven Championship players - with the former being forced down the pecking order at his previous Championship club. Hunt, fitness permitting could be a good signing - but a fit Buxton was a decent Championship Full Back. I'd also pick Kirkland over Price. Let's give them time and see. Yup - we have a decent calibre of player here now vs LY. if CC makes a balls of it, there is enough here for someone to work with and get some decent results. Best team in the world can perform badly under a poor coach... Carvahals the key this year. I would be massively optimistic if we'd kept Gray with the money invested on attackers, now it's a complete unknown! Hopefully by the end of August we'll look like promotion contenders. Refusing to get my hopes though. That never ends well with Wednesday.

Bang on - the friendlies haven't been great but the real test starts now tbh. We'll finally see what CC is made of. He obviously knows he has to succeed - there just isn't any real margin of error as DC clearly wants to get to the Prem and for once, no one can complain about a lack of investment. We haven gone mad like Forest et al but the calibre is an improvement. Just need 1/2 more. It probably is the best squad since the mid to late 90's - lets just hope we have someone who can build it into a strong unit. As mentioned before, if CC doesn't, someone eventually will.
