Retford_Owl
Hearing from some lads close to Liam Palmer that this guy is to be first signing of the summer on a free? Roeder likes him from watching him at West Ham and feels he could do a job for us....... Makes sense to me seen as Gray has worked with him before. Would of thought wages might of been a problem but obviously not. Semedo very close to agreeing a new two year deal too. Don't shoot the messenger. 😀
Orlando_Trustful
I'm pretty sure he was awful for West Ham last season.
GMOwl72
Roger. Johnson. Exactly my thoughts - he needs us I reckon more than we need him.

royalowlisback
If Loovens doesn't resign he'd be fine alongside Lees.
Tamworthowl
He'd be a good replacement for Loovens if he leaves, or when he is suspended/injured. Not sure why Charlton haven't offered him a new deal. Could be high wage expectations. Could be that he was poor for them.
Guest wilyfox
Would be good cover/competition for Loovens.
HirstWhoScoredIt
He was excellent for Charlton. He is a leader and he is very strong in the air. In general our team lacks leadership and height. Excellent addition if true. Edited May 23, 2015 by HirstWhoScoredIt
Roscoe P. Coltrane
Makes sense , steady at this level and very experienced ideal partner for Lees.
Leaping Lannys Perm
As third choice centre back we could do worse. He'd have to take a massive wage drop thoug. I'm not saying we can't afford his wages, but not for a back up player.
Saxondale
We could do a lot worse. He was very good when he was here, I don't understand the grief he gets on here now.
Sam-The-Owl
Remember when Vydra wanted a move to the Premier League? That didn't work out as well and he went back to Watford. Nothing wrong with a player having aspirations. He was decent for us and I'd be happy having him back.

Guest trusty_left_peg
Him and Loovens were a good solid pairing at the back before he got moved on to West Ham to warm their bench. Wouldn't be a bad signing in all honesty.
PolarNigel
Hooefully we'll bring him back so I can't start punching my mate when we chant his name.

Swiss Toni
He's older than Loovens by a year. For me we should only be looking at Johnson if Loovens doesn't re-sign. Ultimately we should be looking to sign a young left-sided CB who we can integrate slowly into the side as competition to complement Lees at the back.
