TheEnchanter
New giant screen will be the largest in the football league! Picture in link. http://www.swfc.co.uk/news/article/big-screen-to-transform-matchdays-2466000.aspx From the start of the 2015/16 season, Sheffield Wednesday fans will see a dramatic change to the matchday experience at Hillsborough with the introduction of a huge new 60m2 LED screen from stadium technology specialists ADI.The new screen, which will be the largest in the whole of the Football League, will connect to Live Venue, ADI’s unique high speed fibre network that links every Premier League and Football League stadium to the company’s Preston-based sports production hub. Connectivity will enable Sheffield Wednesday to reach far beyond the capabilities of most standard displays and create exciting new opportunities to enhance the fan experience, whilst providing a powerful new platform for club partners. Delivering a full service solution, ADI will manufacture and install the screen and work alongside the club to develop compelling content packed with exclusive features, match highlights, news, instant replays, social media and live stats. ADI’s CEO Geraint Williams said: “Sheffield Wednesday is a club with a vision shared by ADI – to create a transformative commercial and fan engagement platform that delivers real value. “That value is driven by content and the engagement it creates. Our history proves that we invest in our relationships and we look forward to working closely with Sheffield Wednesday, using technology to help the club create a real competitive advantage.†Sheffield Wednesday vice chairman Paul Aldridge said: “We’re delighted to be working with ADI, utilising their vast experience in sport to enhance the match day at Hillsborough, and we’re excited about the kind of content we’ll be able to deliver as a result of being connected to the Live Venue network. “ADI has a proven track record in football and their exceptional quality and high service level will help create an exciting new platform that will deliver long term value for our supporters and commercial partners alike.†Providing a future-proof solution, the high speed connectivity between Hillsborough and ADI’s sports production facility, means the club can tap into a huge creative resource to deliver high quality live programming designed to engage fans and excite sponsors. ADI will provide a dedicated team of directors, editors, and graphics operators who will be responsible for powering screen content throughout every stage of the matchday. The new Hillsborough screen is one of a growing number of displays installed by ADI for Premier League and Football League clubs, with more than 50 major installations currently in place throughout UK sports venues.
