Tonight's charity partner for the Birmingham clash is Cavendish Cancer Care â€“ the charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer in South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.

With more than seven people a day in Sheffield alone receiving a new diagnosis, the need to ensure they do not have to face cancer alone has never been greater.

The charity’s services are provided free of charge and it relies on the donations from supporters and help from volunteers to continue its work.

Last November saw Wednesday skipper Glenn Loovens support the charity when the club got behind ‘The Carlton Palmer 10k Run’ which was held in aid of the organisation.

Loovens joined Sheffield United captain Michael Doyle as both clubs encouraged supporters to get involved in raising funds for the charity.

Ex-Owls midfielder Carlton Palmer has signed up to Cavendish Cancer Care’s 'Change 4 Cav campaign', vowing to give up alcohol during January.
