I note that these clubs all have some association with the fund, along with the Spanish clubs he managed. I also see that as the dinner has been called off, Wednesdayite have admirably donated £1000.00 to the cause. FC Barcelona endorsed the project and donated a signed first team shirt to the Hillsborough lunch which raised £500 via auction we are currently working with the club on a number of fundraising ideas. Real Betis FC endorsed the project hosting an event prior to Xmas in Seville which also involved Racing Santander and donated a special O'Connell 35 shirt - a function is being planned to celebrate the 80th anniversary of O'Connell leading Betis to La Liga this summer. Hull City have contacted our group with regard to hosting an event. Despite numerous emails Man Utd the club have not officially endorsed the project, however a host of their former players have signed donated shirts and MUTV have been very supportive as well as Mark Froggatt their match day programme editor and United We Stand magazine. The Irish World Heritage Centre have agreed to an event in Manchester on April 10th to commemorate Patrick's centenary anniversary of becoming United captain 1915.
