Watford open to offers for McGugan

Recommended Posts

I expect us to say goodbye to weswood in Jan so maybe that would finance getting McGugan and Drethe and Maybe a striker.

Westwood has saved us numerous times but I would be happy with this.

What people forget is that Kirkland would also have saved us numerous times.

He'll go for £800K, it seems as if Watford just want him off their books so Won't be looking for a hefty fee. £250K for Madine & what ever is left (if anything) from the Antonio sale should hopefully be able to cover the transfer fee.

Forest can still sign players on loan, plus they've just won 250K to cover wages from the skybet competition.

When Watford are saying they are open to offers I don't believe they are talking specifically about loan deals, I think they mean a full transfer which would rule Forest out.

The fee is one thing - the wages are another...

Yes, it would be a miracle if he came here because of wages alone.

He will have done a very nice deal with Watford going there on a free.

Logically when you look at the way Watford have been spending, he must be on £15-20k per week.

That's way out of our wage structure and no player with 2 years plus left on a contract is going to take a significant pay cut.

We should try to get him on loan until the end of the season and offer Watford a decent chunk of his wages.
