Stuart Gray has said there is no reason to panic as the Owls seek a return to winning ways.

Now 18 games into the season, Wednesday have lost just four and have a defensive record envied by the rest of the Championship.

While the Owls seek a reversal of fortune in front of goal, Gray believes his forwards will come through this current run.

“The players have been in these situations before and the last thing I want them to do is ****** at chances when they come around,” he said.

“But my players aren’t like that. I work with them every day in training and the atmosphere and intensity is first class.

“We need to bring that into games. We’ve trained at Hillsborough this week, they’ve all had a taste of scoring goals in the shooting drills and it will come together.

Gray is calling on his players to put in a performance for themselves and the supporters as Wigan head to Hillsborough, looking to end their winless run.

The Latics are in desperate need of a result to lift themselves from the bottom three and Gray added.

“We need to put Wigan on the back foot, create chances, be in their faces and have that ball in their final third as much as possible.

“The first box the players have to tick is for hard work, which is what they are doing.

“I can’t fault their effort and commitment. All we need is that extra quality and composure in front of goal.

“The fans can see the effort but that will only go for so long because we need to win games.”

“But as a team, we have got to create chances for our strikers.”

Swear filter doesn't like sna*ch,

A perfectly harmless word when used in the context of the OP.

I'm sorry to say it took me a few seconds to think what word was intended. I'm not using sna*ch as much these days ....
