Guest wilyfox
Lees, Loovens and mostly Westwood are responsible for that. So the full-backs get no credit at all? Maybe they should just wave wingers through then, since they're so insignificant eh...
Guest UpTheOwlsss
Buxton is better 'Hes part of a defence that's only conceded 14' True but that's more thanks to lees loovens Westwood and helan/mattock Also due to the fact our whole team is defensive Think of our CM's so so defensive That's why we don't concede Again some people take it too far He's not a great player but he's not bad

EcclesallOwl
He was top notch against Huddersfield. Was left one on one against the attacker and came out on top pretty much every time. He's good on the ball and offers a lot going forward as well. If we're looking at a dodgy one in our defence then it has to be Loovens but even then we've conceded 14 goals. How can you complain with any of them?
Lees Tom Cat
I like Palmer.. Enjoyed watching him mature as a player and getting the player of the season award. He's got a big future.
modboy
he suits our budget and ambition at the moment Good 6.5/10 player each game Really needs to work on his attacking threat though Would sell if we can get a couple of million for him

modboy
dont think he is worth it, BUT you look at some of the fees English youngsters go for and what we supposidly turned down for THAT defence a decade ago. I personally would play Buxton or Lee at RB as think as said Palmers decision making is generally poor
Guest
Palmers a good young player but if Buxton can regain his fitness and get back to where he was before he owns that right back spot for me But i do wonder if Buxtons had his day , he's had a poor run of fitness and form I can see Mattock seriously struggling to get back in the starting line up aswell if Helan continues his current form
viva hate
Can't knock any of our defensive players at the moment, they're keeping us up.
Dutch McLovin
Totally agree with this Palmer is poor. Helan is positional wise but makes himself look good by using his pace to recover, Palmer is a league too high simple as not a good player
FlyingOwl
Against a 4-3-3 formation like Huddersfield adopted it can be VERY difficult for full backs. Especially when they're left exposed by lazy rumblezoids like our wingers who don't bother to track back. Palmer & Helan coped very well considering how little help they were getting. Salmonbones
People are construing constructive criticism for actual criticism. Palmer is a very good player with even more potential. He just had a poor game against a very positive wide player. Take it as it is meant, not that Palmer is a bag of crap and has no future, because that is not what is being said. 0wl18
Week in week out palmer has no support, Maguire and drenthe are both lazy sods, so if the opposition realise this, as Huddersfield did against us, they'll get the ball wide quickly and have their wingers 1v1. Looking back at the game I remember at least 3 times this happening to palmer, bunn had the run on him and he tracked him, waited for the right time to tackle, and put in a good challenge. Helan on the other hand, dove in on numerous occasions, scannell gave him the slip and had the run at our defence, he also got in behind twice due to Helan being switched off but I suppose that's down to scannell being better than bunn isn't it? Or is it that Helan was poor and made scannell look good? Anyway Helans exempt from criticism because he's fast. Palmer Is still raw and far from the finished article, but he's more than capable of playing right back for us, there are some seriously short sited fans on here who live to single players out instead of looking at the team performance as a whole. Many also seem to forget that palmer won the player of the year award last year, can't be that bad can he? Guest Philowl1990
Couldn't agree more, only reason why it is only 14 goals is because lees and Westwood have been pretty much solid and got us out of trouble imo
