Taximark
Mr I've got the badges took us down! Yes but Laws started it off, the rot was set, Irvine was just a joke of a replacement.
Mr. Chow
Didn't we finish 9th under laws?
NeonLeon
How bad was our defence that season we went down.
Earlsfieldowl
Laws came to the end of his shelf life and ran out of ideas - a bit like the current incumbent. Gray ok at the moment but if we get near the relegation zone and this continues he'll be gone. We need to start scoring, simples. Clean sheets and draws don't keep sides up. TheEnchanter
Classic, looking back and thinking everything was better than it was. We collapsed soon after and went down.
Taximark
Which manager led us to our highest finish In the Football league since we got booted outta the premiership for being crap ? Thread closed, I thank you all for taking part I will always have a soft spot for lawsy though, I remember being at the lane sat with all the Pigs squealing when Tudders rifled in that wonder goal
Earlsfieldowl
Perhaps a little harsh on Sturrock but close to the mark on the rest
RUMBELOWS91
Anyone remember the 0-2 defeat at home to Readibg when we barely got over the half way line? Laws delivered 3/4 a good season and a terrific double. Fond memories but no miracle worker.
Lincowl
Did it all on a terrible budget, £ for £ best manager in the Championship. Hence Burnley went in for him in the premiership.
Eaton_Swfc
I'd take Laws back in a heartbeat.
SallyCinnamon
Such a shame we didn't kick on from that point. But again no surprise with the financial difficulty we were in. Brunt, Bougherra, Whelan were sold. Maclean let go when he should have been kept for another season. Heart and confidence ripped out the side, very good young players like Spurr and Beevers began to lose all confidence and we saw their potential go to waste. They have done good since they left Wednesday though. Simek was unlucky with a nasty injury. We were left with Tudgay and Grant carrying the team, before they were sold off aswell and we were left in an absolute mess on and off the field. Credit to Mandaric for getting us back on track, but imagine if we were more stable back then. What could have been. Going into the 08/09 season keeping Brunt, Whelan, Bougherra and adding some more quality. Oh well.
SiJ
Oh to have players like Brunt and Whelan now. Even at that relatively young age they'd have made a huge difference to this current side. Drive, industry and quality.
