nolan_swfc
Then why offer CK an extension? That's my thinking maybe it was always our intention to sell him
Guest WoodhouseOwl77
If that was the plan then it will have come off but Kirkland worries me
lukestheman82
Then why offer CK an extension? Valid question to be fair.... The answer from me is, I don't know, then I dont know why we offered Coke one the year before.
Guest WoodhouseOwl77
I do but it should been Coke or Semi not both, I'd have chosen Coke
crookesowl
Grobelaar is looking or a replacement for Mignolet at Liverpool and Brad Jones jones is not up to it. If anyone sees Grobelaar at Hillsborough between now and Christmas you know why.
njh1968
whatever the fee how much would MM actually reinvest, that is the real question
Inspector Lestrade
Average goalie might be worth £100,000 …. runs for cover
theowlsman
Yeah, Grobelaar was on the radio earlier saying he'd give Brendan Rogers 3 weeks to sort it out before sacking him, and saying Mignolet never comes out if his 6 yard box, and desn't command the box up to the 18 yard line. Basically suggesting Liverpool need a new keeper.
vulva
whatever the fee how much would MM actually reinvest, that is the real question And this is the key point. If selling Westwood allowed us to reinvest in 2 or 3 new players, adding to the squad, then I'd sell him. In isolation, selling Antonio was a great deal. The major issue was not replacing him, adequately.

The reported price looked like the bare minimum at the time, and given Readings cut and Antonio's form since now looks shocking. The only defence is a context of the club needing the money to keep the wolf from the door.
Guest WoodhouseOwl77
Another great performance from Mignolet again tonight, Liverpool need a keeper
Owl999
I think our only hope of hanging on to him if the Liverpool rumours are true are, a, they go after Petr Chech or b, Brendan Rodgers gets the sack, I'd settle for either.
