crookesowl
Based on our fit players... What is our strongest 11 and how would you play them? Here are my thoughts... Westwood Palmer Loovens Lees Helan Maguire Semedo Coke Drenthe Taylor-Fletcher Nuhiu Subs Dielna May Kirkland Maghoma Lee I would play them in a 4-4-2 with width and I would get Helan and Maguire overlapping, and Palmer overlapping with Drenthe. I would also expect to have to take Drenthe off after say 60 mins and would do a straight swap for Maghoma. May would swap with TF after 70. Any other changes would be due to injury. I think that team and formation would at least create chances in open play and be reasonably tight at the back. I heard SG talking about Drenthe's fitness but I would rather see him contribute from the start and take him off later. Lee A
Mattock is available for the next game isn't he? He starts at left back every time for me
FlyingOwl
Westwood Palmer Lees Loovens Mattock Semedo Maguire Lee Drenthe Nuhiu May Could also work as a 4-3-3...but I liked the look of the diamond today. crookesowl
Yeah good point. Put him in the bench instead of Dielna then. I personally don't think our full backs contribute enough going forward and Helan gives an extra option.
trask43
westwood palmer lees loovens mattock semedo lee helan Maguire nuhiu taylor fletcher that's possibly our best team on paper but they would have to play the system we played today more of a diamond, the system suits most of our player but due to a lack of width you really need a striker who can get in behind defences which we don't have. Lee A
Helan seems to get lost out on the wing, bags of pace but his lack of ability shows far too often Anonymous in the first half today, actually looked better when he moved into the middle for a bit

Beholder
Westwood Buxton Loovens Lees Mattock maghoma Coke Lee Drenthe Maguire Nuhiu This. It's semedo that should make way. Coke provides far more going forward and would be a good partner to lee. Also maghoma is one of our best players.

gurujuan
Whichever way you look at it, there is a distinct lack of quality about the attacking side of our game. The defensive side is fine, and looks like a championship defence. The creative/attacking resources look more akin to a good division one team
FlyingOwl
Can we please not play 4-4-2 until we get in different wingers.... It makes my eyes bleed. The first 20 minutes yesterday the diamond gave us a new lease of life.

Guest UpTheOwlsss
My best team Westwood Buxton Lees Loovens Mattock Helan Semedo(CDM) Maguire(CAM) Drenthe Nuihu Taylor fletcher May could do with a rest and maguire could do with playing just off the striker and give Drenthe the chance to play wide right and cut inside Helan not always great at left mid but he covers well defenesively leaving the other attackers to bomb forward
