Bluesteel
Agreed, to me Lavery just seems to have a bit extra about him. Some skills he showed off last season were a cut above the rest of the team. Scored some cracking goals too. There's that and there were some really quiet spells too

Ronio
I think May and Lavery would be a great combo, both are natural goal scorers with a bit of pace and movement to unsettle defenders.
FreshOwl
Lavery - another player seen through blue and white specs because he's injured Don't get me wrong he's a decent player, but I remember seeing quite a few naff games from him

davey_wells
Seems very odd that Lavery is older than May.
Guest ka58
Wrong to compare the two. When fit I would play both though and use the big lads as subs if we need to change it. Grays been unlucky with injuries - hutch lee and lavery fit and staying fit from day one would have helped us.
gurujuan
Shouldn't be regularly starting at this level

Dutch McLovin
Lavery is better - simples. Better finisher faster and better touch. But he is no winger.
trevdi9
Lavery at the moment because he has been her longer and is used to the system and the way we play , I dare say that May will get better and stronger the more he settles in

trask43
On what we've seen so far lavery has a little more pace, skill and is a better finisher but its early days for both players.
Guest UpTheOwlsss
Can't believe Lavery is older Only a year like but still! You would think may was like 25 and Lavery 20/
shandypants
On what we've seen so far lavery has a little more pace, skill and is a better finisher but its early days for both players. More strength and better anticipation. May needs to do the same as Lavery and go out on loan to learn his trade in this country.

Orlando_Trustful
Both have attributes but, like Afobe, both could do with stepping down a league firstI certainly don't agree with that.
gurujuan
I certainly don't agree with that. Fair enough, but in my opinion, if we ever get around to completing our recruitment, then I'd expect both to be competing from the bench. To keep them fresh and up to speed, they could be sent out alternately to division one clubs. You can add Madine to that list as well
Eaton_Swfc
May just behind Lavery would be an exciting partnership.
