Guest _Ibbo_
Why don't we just leave madine or Nuhiu on the edge of the box all game. In a blatant off side position. Give the ball to drenth. To run past the last defender who then squares it s cross to them. Would be perfectly ok.....
gurujuan
Cos none of them can run past a defender
Leaping Lannys Perm
Gee. What an innovative idea. Now they have introduced a new offside rule that apparently was only invented yesterday and hasn't been around for at least a decade, I'm sure everyone will be trying it. The rule wasn't invented yesterday, but it seems that the interpretation that a player has gained no advantage by running clean through has. POWP
sure remove our forward line from play as well... that'll definitely make a load of difference to us seeing less of the ball. personally we just need to play with a bit more urgency for an entire match... not just that last 10 minutes when we're 3-0 down
Garry Powell
similar idea to Wilkinson's at scum where Shutt chased down the keeper then ran off the pitch to avoid been offside
dorian gray
similar idea to Wilkinson's at scum where Shutt chased down the keeper then ran off the pitch to avoid been offside always thought it was a booking for leaving the field of play to avoid being offside... what happened in the world cup of a few years ago when (i think) an italian ref gave a decision over a player leaving the field in an offside position (i have a feeling he ruled out a goal)??? Swiss Toni
I think it has more to do with looking forward and being positive as a team rather than sideways and negative as an individual.

Andrew_Owl
Put a bloke who is wearing an England shirt and holding an England flag into the back of the net, give the ball to McCabe,Maguire or May and it's a goal.
PopePiusX
People still complaining about that goal are worse than Andy Townsend, who stopped talking about the 'new interpretation of the offside law' a few years ago. Parsons Cross Owl
How about buying a striker who can score. Radical, but it just might work.
