Historically, Wednesday's strongest position.

Recommended Posts

Been watching since the late 70s/early 80s and during that time (averaged out) i hint that we have been strongest in the goalkeeping region. Had some corners and a few piles of crap but overall, we have been 'consistently' good. Just look at the keepers we have now!

Bolder

Turner

Pressman

Woods

Grant

Carson

Kirkland

Westwood

Other decent keepers as well.

No other area has been as consistently strong.

Paul Heald.

Bruce Grobelaar.

Also, what was that keeper called who let a soft back-pass in from 25 yards a few years back? Went to control it and it went under his foot. Paul Evans?

Hodge was a great keeper.

Anyone remember Steve Ogrizovic's goal on that windy day?

It's on around the 4 minute mark on this old video

That's the first time I've ever been gobsmacked at Hillsborough, there's been plenty of times since, mind lol

still can see that goal mentally. Was stood on the Kop and as a kid didnt think it counted... never had seen anything like it before
