Groundhopping Owl
I still miss y'all ready for this as the teams come out of the tunnels. Remember during the last days of the Jones era when we were being battered at home then that ridiculously cheery tune would come on and I couldn't help laughing. This current one's cr@p, the way they say "hi, ho, let's go" sounds really tinpot
FlyingOwl
I still think we should come out at half time to hey jude.
Polar
This current one's cr@p, the way they say "hi, ho, let's go" sounds really tinpotRamones tinpot? I've heard it all now. And it's 'Hey ho, let's go'.That announcer's done a few cup games. And, I think, did the first league game this season. Far too cheesy. I prefer our usual one. He sounds a bit cynical sometimes, especially about the terrible half time challenges. Edited September 20, 2014 by Polar

mirodo
I liked the announcer (driver) on the tram after the match. "this is a yellow route service to Meadowhall via the city centre... We're all Wednesday, aren't we?!?"
helmut_rooster
Where was the female announcer who tells the licenced bars to close? I missed her today. I'm sure thats a recording
Dan™
Too enthusiastic for my liking. It's football not bloody baseball It was a bit much when he even started getting excited introducing the referees and assistants. Guess he wasn't too bad overall though. Also, does anyone know what one of the other songs at the end was? It wasn't the Charlatans track listed earlier that I'm thinking of. I was thinking Longpigs at the time but after listening through their stuff again I've completely forgotten what it sounded like at the ground now... Possibly Blue Skies? Dan™
The Cure 'Just like heaven'? Well done that man. I blame Katie Melua for me not recognising it.
royalowlisback
I thought the announcer sounded like Barry Chuckle.
i used to be sc_owl
On the grandstand he sounded muffled and very loud. Quite annoying instead of quietly annoying.

mike312
I thought he was better than the normal guy who starts loud and then quitens off. On the kop you can't hear him sometimes.
owls maniac
Well done that man. I blame Katie Melua for me not recognising it. It's a great song, one of my favourites. The football may often be poo poo but the music at Hillsborough is always spot on.
