Taximark
Referee just lost control of the game in spells, it was with Coke when he stopped the game, Glenn Murrey was a tail end, he was insisting it was a drop kick so the ref agreed with him. So happy we scored a late deflected free kick, a right kick in the bolllocks for them, deservingly. We march on..........

PeteG_1984
Reading reminded me of Forest under Billy Davies today, cheated like fornicate and that drop ball situation was terrible sportsmanship from them
horny owl
Bet the ref was gutted when May scored the winner.
swfc-dan
I didnt think drop balls existed anymore? No wonder Coke was going mad If they did surely they would happen everytime instead of this daft passback thing. Ref totally lost the plot, but a great 3 points! Claudio Tankisco
How exactly can the ref get away with shoving Giles Coke at one point? Other way round coke would have been off and a huge ban imposed
Miffed
We should lobby the FA about that push, seriously. Disgusting.
Eaton_Swfc
Apart from fact it was Nuhiu who pushed Coke I'm sure lobbying the FA will work wonders.
swfc-dan
Tbf Coke did get in the refs face which isnt on, but to be shoved back showed how much the ref had lost control of things.
bazapeps
I said same thing if coke had pushed ref he'd be looking at a huge fine and long ban
FlyingOwl
Apart from fact it was Nuhiu who pushed Coke I'm sure lobbying the FA will work wonders. The ref did push Coke about 15 seconds before Nuhiu pushed Coke away before he talked himself into bother. Disgusting behaviour from an official.
Groundhopping Owl
We should lobby the FA about that push, seriously. Disgusting. totally agree, if it had been the other way round Coke could be facing a very length suspension indeed. This ref should probably receive a lengthier seeing as they're the ones who are meant to maintain discipline. Outside of that, he was absolutely woeful today, gave them everything all afternoon. By the way - I enjoyed listening to your running commentary on the ref today
Miffed
Apart from fact it was Nuhiu who pushed Coke I'm sure lobbying the FA will work wonders. Nuhiu pushed Coke after the ref did. How long did DiCanio get for pushing Alcock? Edited September 20, 2014 by Miffed
Animis
do you ever see a drop-ball in the premiership or champions league - no. Like the new line painting at free kicks and goal line tech, if you're not playing at the top level your relegated to non-league standards and refs. Miffed
Drop balls are only given when the ref has lost the plot
The Hoppy Hopper
Thought that the referee had a poor game, but to be fair he can't insist that Reading return the ball from a drop ball. It is a sporting convention, and it reflect badly on Reading, but it isn't a rule.
Beholder
Disgusting ref. We gets lots of em. To play a drop ball when we had the ball was just one ridiculous decision of many.

Like the new line painting at free kicks and goal line tech, if you're not playing at the top level your relegated to non-league standards and refs. But why? There always used to be more drop balls 10-15 years ago. Has the rules changed after injuries when the ball gets kicked out. I don't understand it, don't think anyone like the sissy passback that's now introduced, much prefer a proper drop ball!
theowlsman
Should've ignored the ball and swung a leg at the Reading player's k-nackers
