So with the window now closed, I have to say I'm happy with the business we've done. To say I'm not easily pleased, would be a bit of an understatement, but we've managed to address three of the areas we needed to strengthen and we haven't lost anyone.Alright, the names were not perhaps what we hoped for, but Milan was never going to spend any money was he. Dielna gives us cover in two of the defensive positions, Drenthe brings a wealth of experience to our midfield, and offers us genuine quality delivery from the left. Hallam Hope brings some much needed pace to the attack. All in all, a satisfactory weeks work.

I agree I think. Would have loved us to sign a creative midfielder and a quality striker (Becchio would have been great) but guess 3 signings in the last week I can't complain really

Becchio would have been hilarious.

I'd have loved to see us pip Rotherham and listen to Evans' reaction!

To say we have had very little money to work with...it's been a surprisingly pleasant transfer window. I still expect at least one more player in during the loan window.

That's the thing, there's no doubt we've done things on the cheap, but we've known that would be they case for a while now. Expect Milan to make an appearance now he doesn't have to get his wallet out. Maybe we'll still bring in a winger, as Drenthe can hardly be called a winger these days, but he has a decent left foot and bags of top level experience

We have a much better alphabet spread too... we were very unbalanced too tight in the middle of the park all L's M's and N's but now we have D's and H's which spreads it a bit and helps balance out lone W.

Much better balance now.

Murray and Becchio were on most peoples wish list last week, so slightly disappointed we didn't make a move. A striker who has been there, seen it and done it, at this level would have been ideal alongside our relatively inexperienced group of forwards

I would say both of those are better than what we have, especially with them both being proven in the championship

But, Murray is coming back from long term injury & Becchio has been in no mans land for 18 months. May take a while to get them firing. Still decent signings though, but we have numerous options.

Maybe in terms of numbers but we still lack goals

It's early doors. Nuhiu has started well, and May will bed in. Service needs tweaking - Drenthe should help out there. We've not seen enough of Hope yet; hopefully he'll make an impact. Good reasons for optimism.
