matthefish2002
That was the start of the slide when we brought in sub standard replacements. I remember that Klinsmann game for his goal and Dan Petrescu being a right back and popping up on the left wing and just jogging back when Spurs attacked. WatfordOwl
Thanks for the vid. Great game of football - pity Hirsty's volley counted for nothing that day. And what a rarity - Darren (sicknote) Anderton actually playing.
33
Despite the result, one of the most memorable days I've had at Hillsborough. Kilnsmann was brilliant and that dive even better...!
IstillhateSteveBould
I remember a bloke dressed in scuba diving gear and Klinsmann on the back of his shirt on the south stand.
canyoujust
It was a great football match and Spurs early on that season were a joy it was a 1-4-0-6 formation!
Paul Triplo
DH's volley and DW knocking JK out. Class!
Geedee
20 years ago! A quarter of a decent lifetime omg It was my first game as a non season ticket holder, it felt very strange sitting a few rows back in the North stand from my old seat with a mate of mine who also had not renewed. Great game, Klinsmann was excellent As others have said it was real evidence of the start of the slide. Two years before I had gone to see Wednesday at white Hart Lane expected them to beat spurs and they did comfortably 2-0. It seems incredible now and must seem like ancient history to our young supporters
flying-owl
That was the first game with the old floodlight pylons removed. We've been in decline every since.........coincidence, I think not!!!
canyoujust
To think todays supporters of 25 and under never saw Hirsty etc in their prime......all they have to get excited about is Nuhiu and the like. I hope for the younger generation we do finally give them what their loyalty deserves. 20 years....wow...just wow!
modboy
That was the first game with the old floodlight pylons removed. We've been in decline every since.........coincidence, I think not!!! Owls_fan_since_1983
I remember that game sat on the kop with my dad and one of his mates. My Dad has not been to game at Hillsborough to see Wednesday play since 2001, last time he went to a game at Hillsborough was in the senior cup between Sheffield FC and Worksop.
