Sky Sports reporting that the takeover is now being delayed due to Other business, does anyone know anymore on this and why ?

I personally can see this going boobies up and not happening. It's gonna be one of them seasons

The star used the same headline. I think it's a bad one to use because it suggests it is delayed moving forward but the statement refers to a delay that has supposedly been and gone

What was the supposed delay ? Was it the Lens situation that's held everything up ?

it said in his "home country"... lots of rumours have been floating about so who knows.

If he has the money it will go though, there is no rush i guess for him,  if he doesnt have the money it will be "business as normal".

Business in Azerbaijan, according to the statement. Personally I think the same business (whatever it was) held up Lens too rather than it being the Lens situation that held us up. Just a guess though.

Apparently but don't know how true it was, Mammadov had all his assets/money frozen by the Azerbaijan Government for a while - don't know why.

Maybe its not frozen now and he's here to conclude the deal and meet the football league. Also maybe this is why he couldn't get the 10 million across to Lens.

Its all speculation though but it would tie in with the rumour that he was arrested but not actually arrested just his assets.

Could this have been the hold up.

Azerbaijan to hold Formula 1 race on Baku street circuit in 2016.

The race will be on a street circuit around the capital Baku and incorporate its medieval old city, modern skyline and a view across the Caspian Sea.

The oil-rich state is in the Caucasus region where eastern Europe and western Asia meet and its F1 race is to be called Grand Prix of Europe.

That title has been held by races in Germany, Spain and the UK in the past.

The Azerbaijan government said the track layout had yet to be finalised.

But Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sport, Azad Rahimov, said the start-finish straight would be in Azadliq Square, and the track would pass major landmarks in the city.

Imagine playing hardball with Milan Mandaric, Gervais Martel and Bernie Ecclestone simultaneously: old Hafiz has certainly got the cahoonas!
