Wolfmanjack
The only things I know about Waddle's managerial capabilities are that he doesn't seem to have any. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I'm sure he was our reserve team manager for (I think) two seasons, and the drew one game, but lost every other game they played. and I did hear something on Radio 5 many years ago that when he was Burnley manager there was something of a revolt among their fans, to get him out of the club. I fear that if they were daft enough to appoint him as head coach/manager, he'd go the same way as Chris Turner and Danny Wilson, hero as a player, but zero as a manager, and that would be a real shame. trevdi9
I like Waddle. Both as a pundit and an ex player. He certainly still has some passion for the game - and, clearly though his media work, contacts and knowledge. He still lives in Sheffield, I believe? Would he be any good as a manager? How do you pick a 'dead cert' manager? I have no idea - and neither have any of you. True dat
Plonk
Waddle has just denied having any contact with Mammadov on 5live. Be talking to monkeys not organ grinders
