“@Gids1980: Swfc head coach Stuart Gray says Gary Madine will not be sent out on loan to boost his fitness. This follows public interest from Carlisle.”

Good decision imo, worst thing to do would probably be loaning him out, give him experience with our own players and get him back into it

No point sending him on loan to his old stomping ground, that could be a recipe for disaster!!!

Bet he's dying to get out on the lash though now he's out. Did his early release come with any sort of banning order from the City Centre does anyone know?

If Best proves his form and fitness, I'm guessing they will want him back

Hopefully he'll be an unfit failure, so we can keep him ... Loans lol

I'm glad we've got Best on board, and with the right player alongside, he could be quite effective for us We still need a goalscorer though

Yep i'm glad we are keeping Madine, we have 5 strikers who are competing with each other.

We need to focus on these 5 and get them firing, Gray has said today we are just going to go with what we have got.

So let them get on with it.

With Best going back in a few weeks, Madine has suddenly become vital to our survival

Madine vital? give me a break, have you deluded clappers forgot him strolling around, jumping on the floor when a defender gets close to him and arrogant attitude? its not about giving him a 2nd chance cos he was gash before he went to prison. oh and calling him a goal machine is utterly embarrasing

If he's truly sorry for what he's done then you would think he'd WANT to keep himself out of bars/clubs where people can cause him agro. Judging by his character and the way he's conducted himself thus far, I'm not going to hold my breathe.

His tag is linked to Newcastle so he will be doing 4 hours driving a day just for a days training. For work purposes e.g. a night match he will get permission as long as it is pre-agreed.

I've known people on tag before and thats how it worked or effectivley you are saying they can't work and that is completley against what re-habilitation is all about. Him being a pro footballer makes no difference to him doing shift work in a factory or whatever (bar about £4,500 a week)
