KivoOwl
To: hgration@bbc.co.uk Subject: Football report tonight Harry, please see below the report for the Leeds game on Saturday - we've decided to lead with the Huddersfield game so it's only a brief report - "Leeds United's poor run of form continued when they came up against relegation threatened Sheffield. The home team opened the scoring in controversial fashion when Ryan Johnson bundled into the Leeds goal from an offside position, and they repeated the feat just before half time, when Hatty Neauo slid in from an obviously offside position to net the second. Leeds manager Brian McDermott threw on Matt Smith at half-time, but the poor officiating continued just seconds into the second half when Smith was ludicrously sent-off for a shoulder barge on Ryan Johnson. McDermott has said he will appeal the decision and Leeds will surely receive the backing of the FA on the matter. Despite this, Leeds still looked lively and threatened on numerous occasions before Connor Wycombe broke free to put Sheffield three up with a mis-hit effort that deceived Paddy Kenny in the Leeds goal. Moments later it got worse for Leeds when a Leeds player was harshly adjudged to have fouled a non-Leeds player and the free-kick took an outrageous deflection and nestled in the Leeds net. It summed up Leeds' luck on the day, and turned the game on its head. Sheffield got two more late goals to make the final score 6-0 - experienced striker Keeley Laverick scuffing an effort into the Leeds net with the aid of a lucky bounce off a post and minutes later grabbing his second when the poor Leeds defenders started to tire. It was a close game decided by some poor officiating decisions, and Leeds will feel hard done to. But on this performance, they're not far away from being a promotion contending side"

Spudvegas
The Leeds manager was the target of some disgusting abuse from the partizan Sheffield crowd. In a display of animal like behaviour, they compared the stricken McDermott to a chicken foetus. As always, the Leeds faitful were exemplary in their behaviour.
