onefurlongout
Hi fellow Wednesday fans. A bit off topic but thought I would share. I've just finished 25 sessions of chemo/ radiotherapy and at 35 I'd never thought that I would be diagnosed with bowel cancer. Thankfully following my one and only bleed I went to see the doctor and he referred me. If anyone out there is delaying going to see the doc, or embarrassed don't be. Go see the doctor and hopefully you will have a chance a beating the big C.
Stoop
Glad things are looking up. I completely agree, its no good burying your head in the sand and hoping things go away. If ever I've ever noticed owt amiss im straight to the doctors

onefurlongout
Yep the tumour had a bleed. It was like red wine in the pan. This prompted the visit to the docs as there were no other symptoms
Ronnie Starling
Us men can be really stupid when it comes to going to the doctors. What do we think they are going to do invite the surgery staff in to laugh at you? Get yourself off as onefurlong corrected said. Of course you might have to wait three months for an appointment though.
ReadingOwl
Embarrassment was partly to blame for the premature death of Bobby Moore. Nobody knows if early ntervention would have saved him - but he put off going until it was too late. Good advice and glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. apswfcowl
Having had chemotherapy and radiotherapy back in 2007 for a different type of cancer, I now go to the doctors for anything that seems abnormal. I was only 33 at the time so know how you feel mate. Great post, great advice and good luck for your recovery!
