The club were in deep negotiations with the Sausage Cottage Ltd over a shirt sponsorship deal, which I can confirm is close to being agreed. The new home kit will bear the oh so familiar Sausage Cottage lettering along with sausage motifs down each arm. Pepperami attempted to appeal against this as the arm sausages were spookily similar in colour, size and length to that of the original Pepperami (but not Pepperami firestick). However the girth was not an issue at first seeing as the sausages were 2 dimensional motifs. Amazingly representatives from Pepperami were so concerned that the Sausage Cottages sausage motifs were a breach of copy right that they demanded a life size model should be constructed to represent how the arm sausages would look if they were to be 3D. This time the girth proved to be the problem. It did so appear that the girth was eerily similar to that of a Pepperami. Once agreements were in place with The Sausage Cottage and Pepperami, the arm sausages were reduced to around 6 inches as opposed to the original 12 inch bangerss that ran down from shoulder to below the elbow. The CEO of The Sausage Cottage confirmed the changes were for the benefit of the everyone and added "Well, cus there 6 inches now they fit ont short sleeve shirts now like". So for anyone wondering why the home shirt has been delayed, at least now you know tht the club have encountered many unforeseen circumstances this year and are striving to have the finished version very soon.
