musingowl
Fancy sharing some memories, pictures, videos (I know its a long shot but there's always the possibility Look North or Calendar covered it if absolutely nothing was happening in Leeds that day). I was only about 9 at the time so the only thing I remember was the players being introduced onto the pitch one by one, Hirstys kids kicking off the match then picking the ball up, and somehow ending up with about 5 programmes. Ash-Williams
i always thought ian wright was a total bell end before this match. he was brilliant on the day. the entire team was still better than the dross that was playing for us at the time. it was a real life version of ripping yarns (barnstonworth) even des walker scored!! alanharper
Great day, although it was a shame that so many of the big name players who'd agreed to play on the other side didn't bother showing up. If I remember correctly this included the likes of Dalglish, Beardsley, possibly John Barnes (can't remember if he actually played or not) and a few others. Kudos to the likes of Wright and Shearer for turning out for Hirsty, although their team had to be padded with the likes of John Pemberton and Alan Quinn. Geoff_SWFC
Hirsty deserved a hell of a lot more than the poo poo attendance.
alanharper
Hirsty deserved a hell of a lot more than the poo poo attendance. Only the North and South stands were opened, and it was pretty much sold out as far as I remember
Arthur Bach
A great day. To have the 91 cup final side, relatively fit and in a modern kit looked bizarre! Remember Viv Anderson getting quite into the game.
jambler
Can't remember who it was, but when Alan Smith ran on to attend to someone, one of the players ran at the side of him taking the mick out of his run. Also Prince Naseem wrestling with someone near the centre circle. Great day.

Geoff_SWFC
It was poorly advertised and on a SUNDAY iirc.... Was on a Sunday day after we had lost at Gillingham. Lets be right, anything other than the ground full is less than Hirsty deserved Edited June 15, 2012 by Boy_Wonder_SWFC

Will Kirby
My favourite part was how clear it became that Prince Naseem didn't have a bloody clue about football, constantly stood about 20 yards offside calling for passes "I'M WIDE OPEN!!!!"
