When I was younger, I remember Teletext as being the only way of sussing out the scores. I'm sure that Hirsty went in goal and pulled off a couple of excellent saves against some team at Hillsborough and it actually listed this on Ceefax or whatever it was then. Really bugging me. I remember me and my mate fearing the worst, but then Nigel Pearson scored within minutes to make it 2-0, and we definitely relaxed, we just kind of realised it was going to be our day! Hirsty pulled off a couple of great saves! In his interview after the match Hirsty said he had a new found respect for goalkeepers because he had no idea the ball moved around as much as it did. Also, Penistone road waspartially flooded especially near the enterance to Hillsborough Park! Just one of those odd days following Wednesday that live with you vividly for your whole life! No subs then but we won 1-0. can remember that well nev ron went off at half time with a hamstring i think and was out for quite a while ,and yer right we went to win with eddie holliday scoring one of his very rare goals........
