so we have offered JJ and buxton a new contract, but with the speculation about Buxton going to portsmouth, and also know Forest and a few championship clubs might want JJ as a squad impact player....do u think they will stay with us or not????

Personally i'm not certain either will stay, but hope they do.

Think o'Connor will accept his contract offer!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that JJ stays. Could understand if he goes to play at a higher level though, especailly when he is not appreciated by the fans at Hillsborough.

JOC has gotta be absolutely delighted!! he must be seriously wondering why SWFC havent seen the light!! Its surely gotta be as more of a coach/influence than as a player??

i really hope we keep JJ, without him we have no threat at all, unless of course we have some new exciting wingers lined up

Fell through mate, Modric didnt fancy the swap, Redknapp was gutted.

JOC for Van der Vaart instead? Also, since Potter turned into a winger we could tempt harry with a potter/bale swap deal.

eh? i appreciate his one good game in ten and his one shot on taget in 25 attempts!!!!! i also appreciate his one hour 'contribution' to each match and even his attempts to hit me (quite regularly) on the kop !!!! lol

* the above comments are sarcastic (albeit not a million miles from the truth)

If Buxton and JJ turned down their contracts we'd be in the poo poo We have a decent budget to bring in 6 new players, probably 2 defenders, 2 central midfielders and 2 strikers There would certainly not be enough in the budget to bring in a winger of JJs pace and we'd certainly miss Buxtons versatility Most worrying though, only two more would be leaving out of a cast of plenty

He has played well in every home for the last five games imo had had some brilliant efforts at goal

Hopefully we can make the offer ASAP and hopefully they accept and get it sorted before they go on holiday and then we can concentrate on others dealings...don't want this dragging on...ie waiting like we did for Richard Wood.

Heard from a (made up, fictional) friend in the know that JOC will not accept a new contract and will pursue a new career as a Jockey.

Always wanted to start a rumour

played well for 45mins on saturday, then returned to the hit-and-miss,sulky,greedy JJ we know and love (and actually in a way cost us the match by not passing to madine for a tap in). f-r-u-s-t-r-a-t-i-n-g (can we fit that into the d-i-s-c-o song?) lol

Hope to god Buxton and JJ accept the deals which I do expect them to do. Not too fussed about JOC, decent squad player I suppose.

Can't wait for the contract fiasco to be sorted so we can start moving on the poo poo here, then we can fully rebuild this football club from top to bottom.
