Guest Aaron
I know there has been may topics about him.. But I wouldn't be surprised if he was to hander in a transfer request. After all he sometimes seems disillusioned when coming off and he is getting on after all, so maybe he could see this as his last chance? However I do feel (you may disagree) that he is vital to us this season. The team in my view is lacking in pace and to lose him would take most of the pace out of the team, if he does go I think we might not get into the top 6, although i do feel £500k+ is pretty reasonable considering... So don't know what to think? Thoughts?

Orlando_Trustful
I agree he's essential to us this season. But I also feel he'll try and force a move now, I reckon his heads been turned by forests interest and he'll fancy a few seasons potentially trying to get to the prem rather than battling it out for us in L1. £500+ I'd also be happy with. senwar
Wouldn't be bothered one little bit if he left. Genuinely - think back to what he's contributed to the team in the past 3 years. Yes he's fast and scares people with pace - but how many goals does he have a hand in? How many goals has he scored, save for his short purple patch last season. bobtheowl
He could also wait until January, and see how we are doing.

If he had an end product he would be in the Prem without a doubt.. Cash in the Chips..
mcmigo
He is an absolute loony tune and as likely to be sent off than score a goal. But I like him as he is one of those rare players who you have no idea what is he going to do next.
Wednesday-Wonderland
Nothing but pace. If someone offers £500k we need to get rid. I do think he'll make a habit of raping defences this coming season if he stays though, but obviously it's his end product you've then got to worry about. Russy
His end product leaves a lot to be desired but having seen how slow our team is on Tuesday without him on the pitch that worries me. He has to stay other wise we have no pace in the side.
Innes
Pace is a necessity for any team, and if you take out JJ, who do we really have with his kind of pace?
The Batman
I hope he stays like but he is a bit Forest Gump. flip it flog him and bring Moke in, at least he's young enough to learn to cross & shoot.
Guest ringostar
What are the options for a replacement if he does go? £500k for a 30 year old winger would be a good bit of business in my book as long as we can pick up a decent, younger replacement. Stringy
JJ scared every team last year. There's nothing worse as a fan than when you know someone is going to skin your defence, regardless of the end product. He's got a kid and could get more money in the championship for him and his family. Desperate for him to stay but think he'll go.
_WAWAW_
most of the other comments i agree with. hes got lightening pace but doesnt offer much in the way of any decent end product. its a tough one to call. id like to see him stay until at least january. hopefully he'll be too much for league on defenders to handle but he could just as easily , as mentioned above, be sent off as often as he plays. hopefully he wont be lured away by the likes of forest especially as his years as a footballer are ever decreasing. IMO he wouldnt be great up there for them if his form for us is anything to go by. i hope he's getting a lot of work done on his passing and end product this preseason. tough one to call. Guest dportelli
Guys, I was just reading this in the Star.... Irvine has praised Johnson's attitude and application in training since Forest's bid, saying: "Full marks to him as he has not mentioned it once. "He has not batted an eyelid and I think he should be praised for the way he has conducted himself. After reading that, maybe he will stay
camffiti
He`s a fast runner he aint a footballer Much like Theo Walcott. That's the way football is going though. Ask Andy Gray - It's all about poorwer and piiiss. Jimmy Greaves, Robbie Fowler......Emile Heskey, Adebayor. The only problem I'd have with selling Johnson though, is I don't think we'd bring in a replacement or even get a good fee.
